computer year = 20 human years You spend the first year filling it up with information as we do the first twenty years of our lives. Everything is new with the exciting look what I can do attitude. The second year is extremely productive and healthy as most of us are between twenty and forty. The third year (40 to 60) you need to re-boot more and more and fix little things. Just like we humans seem to get tired sooner, lose our hair and need knee replacements. The fourth year (60 to 80) The system is ready to retire and take it easy. It is not as willing to learn new things. By the fifth year (80 to 100) it is time to pick out a burial plot. Time for a new computer? |
